Since this is my first post, i would like to use this opportunity to say hello to all forum members.
My problem is just as described in post title. When i click on my screen, the random clicks appear in the lower part of the screen for a few seconds but so fast enough and random enough to make the use of my phone impossible. I've managed to enter developer mode and enable the option to view touches on the screen so you can see what's happening. The phone is new, out of the box, but I'm unable to return it because of an internet purchase and a 7-day-return policy. I haven't been able to use it right after the purchase.
I've recored two videos of this problem, one from another phone and one using screen recording app in my Z3 Compact.
Video recorded by a camera of another phone:
Video recorded by a Screen Recording app:
Sometimes, while this happens, a strange clicking noise appears. For once, it even started to get loud and non-stop, phone heated up and started to smell bad from the lower speaker.
Problem persists even in safe mode.
Also, self clicking is happening sometimes even when I'm not touching the phone.
Do i need to go to a repair shop to replace the screen? 😕
EDIT:
To add more info. I've just played a song on youtube. Even when volume is at max, the sound is still very low. On both speakers.

Yes, the problem is still present even in Safe Mode. I've already tried that.
Thanks, I've tried that right away. All that PC Companion did, is updated my phone software from 23.1.A.0.690 to 23.4.A.1.200-R4C
After that, I've clicked on "Phone / Tabled Software Update" and selected Repair. Followed through the repair Wizzard and waited until the repair has finished.
The problem is still present.
@alexdon
I'm not using any kind of screen protector. I've removed the factory shipped one when i unboxed the phone. I returned it to screen just to test if the problem will dissapear. But it's still there. Also, the sound is still low as **bleep** even after the update via PC Companion. If needed, i will make a video of that too.
I think you have a hardware problem though.
Sony doesn't offer international warranty. You can only send it back to that country you bought it from or fix it yourself. However, the second idea is more problematic as we don't know exactly what is the issue you are facing.
Two more questions came up as i noticed something. First,
What is this piece of film or plastic just bellow nano sim card holder? It's kind of sticking out and it looks like it can be pulled out. Since i can't find anywhere what could that be, I'm afraid to pull it out.
And second, is it normal for screen to fell the pressure when i move the protective cover from nano sim card tray? Look at the video, I've recorded the pressure that appears when i move the cover..
