Notification and Ringtone sounds getting muted

It's a major and common issue, which everyone is facing. There are a lots of conversation regarding these issues. Sonys best Smartphone Xperia XZ Sounds getting muted. The problem is temporary solved, after restarting the phone. Many users complaining about the topic several times. But its a shame for Brand like Sony not to give any bug fixing update or help to resolve the problem. What is the value of that expensive phone if it is not ringing at time of call. I am a true fan of sony. If the customer support of sony is as bad as it seems. how come people will buy sonys phone.

Hello,my Xperia XZ keeps loosing sound.This happens multiple times a day and requires a restart.After restarting my phone it's fine for a while but after some time it's gone again.Sometimes I have to restart it 4-5 times a day.It's really annoying and frustrating.I miss all my calls,messages,notifications and alarms.It's unbearable to say the least.Anyone else has this problem?Is there anything that can be done?

I also Experienced the same issue on my Sony XZ The way to fix the issue is to go through your sound settings u have to go the ring tone then select Sound Picker and add your Mp3 Ring tone or any other format from there. it looks like the new update don't allow songs to be picked from your phone u have to go through Sound Picker 

My sound is working perfectly after i did that

this is not a solution my z2 for 2 years with this problem and sony give a sh**t for it they not ever try to find why all xperia devices runnig android 6.0.1 have a problem with 3rd party apps and loose sound after reciving notificetion while in call 
my suggestion is to look on the do not disturbe setting it is the problem and I'm sure about that

Make sure that you update your Xperia XZ with latest updates android 7,1,1

I have this problem since 9 months but the last two updates it is better than before 

Even my friend we bought together at the same time and we both have same problem 

Specially with Facebook messager 

Now days I'm not restarting my phone like before 

I'm sure it is a software issue 

As I told you it is better now with Android 7,1,1
