Called AT&T, was told an international phone doesn't get 4g
Should I find a rep will change the IMEI to one from AT&T?

My G8141, purchased in UK, works fine on AT&T, and gets both 4G and LTE (indicator on phone shows 4G+ when on LTE). Are the 9th & 10th digits on your SIM card (not IMEI) "27"? If not, get a SIM from AT&T that has that.
Ha yes the sim does have 27 as the 9th and 10th. I laugh out of frustration. I was told all this was because it was the UK version, so today I also bought the domestic version. It rolls from G, G+, LTE+,BUT with a max download of 3.2 and a MAX upload of. 082 I called ATT tech to make sure it was provisioned correctly and they said it was so what else can I do besides take it back?
@madtexan13 from your username I can imagine you are from... Texas and I may know why you are having this kind of problems with AT&T.. especially if by chance you are in the 75070 area. In the last 3 months I started having issues with t-mobile and LTE was not able to connect but I was able to connect in roaming to AT&T and having LTE with both My X Compact international and my XZ Premium, then about one month and a half ago also AT&T signal degraded in the same area and the roaming trick isn't working properly either. I am not aware of what's the issue with AT&T and T-Mobile, it could be that they are starting to test the 5G and so some channels and frequencies may be conflcting however I noticed that Sprint and Verizon are the ones that are suffering less.
