Not getting 4g only h+ international g8141

Preferred network set to lte

Downloaded network setting twice

Called AT&T, was told an international phone doesn't get 4g

Should I find a rep will change the IMEI to one from AT&T?

@madtexan13 from your username I can imagine you are from... Texas and I may know why you are having this kind of problems with AT&T.. especially if by chance you are in the 75070 area. In the last 3 months I started having issues with t-mobile and LTE was not able to connect but I was able to connect in roaming to AT&T and having LTE with both My X Compact international and my XZ Premium, then about one month and a half ago also AT&T signal degraded in the same area and the roaming trick isn't working properly either. I am not aware of what's the issue with AT&T and T-Mobile, it could be that they are starting to test the 5G and so some channels and frequencies may be conflcting however I noticed that Sprint and Verizon are the ones that are suffering less.

hmmm, that's weird, as the XZP supports AT&T LTE bands. do you have another AT&T SIM to try it on the phone? or another phone to try your SIM on?
also as far as I know, changing IMEI number wouldn't help and last time I checked it was illegal to do.

I have AT&T and the same Xperia XZ Premium, which APN settings do you have?

I've tried 2 Sims. I do have another phone I can try and good looking out about the IMEI. I thought maybe it wasn't reading as a 4g lol didn't know it was illegal.

This didn't work. It recognizes that I am on an ATT network, but no connection on the data side. I thought with network compatibility either the domestic or UK version of the phone would work. So I bought the UK version because of the fingerprint sensor. There has to be a workaround. Thanks for the help guys.

Does your sim receive 4G services?

Has it ever connected to 4G before?

The first Sim card did, when I took it to ATT they swapped my old one with a different one so this one hasn't.

Sounds like they didn't activate the service on that sim.
