All photos my wife or myself take in low light levels has a white blurr that appears on the right side after the camera flashes, the image is without this problem until it is taken. Is this a problem with the software or a hardware flaw with the camera/flash proximity to each other and the chrome rim around the lens.this is on both our z1 phones my wife has a white one and I a black one. The red inference on the left side is not common just bad lighting. When I say the right side it would be on the bottom side for portrait photos

I love the way people say 'im dissapointed with the camera'
A) its a phone, not a camera. Its great for snaps, but if you want really good pictures go buy a camera,
B) Having a good camera doesnt make you a good photographer. A good photographer can take great pictures with a crappy 3MP camera... Conversly, a crappy photographer takes poor pictures with a great camera..
Pics below have been resized to fit.
First pic with Z1 camera...
Pic from DSLR...
if u click snaps with the cover provided with the phone this happens. The light smugges on the cover end near the flash, try clicking without the cover. the cover isnt handy when u are taking snaps
Great picture
Of course. Here it is.

It migth happen, but here, the problem is very diferent and seems to be caused by a bad autosetting (defaut) of the software or a hardware problem.

Hi guys, just wanted to share with you my opinion, yesterday i saw the device in the store, fall in love with it and started to read about it, and found that firmware update helped a lot with the camera quality so i took a shot and bought it, i must say im very sad with the camera performance. frontal camera is useles and is very hard to get good pics even in the last firmware 257, i was an iphone 5 owner, sick of OS but also i have to say that the frontal camera was very good, every thing else ok but the camera quality BIG FAIL tried everything manual auto 20 8 iso AV etc etc perhaps a defective lens ??
If not, sony i want u to know that this is my first and last phone of ur brand,
false advertise must be punished the camera is crap,
just got a nokia 1520 and i can say is 100 times better.
