A while ago, I backed up my Xperia ZR.
I did a factory reset, and tried to recover the back up files; however according to the Sony PC companion, now my phone has an older version of the OS so I cannot apply the backup file.
I tried to recover the notes file by changing the backup file's format into .zip file. I opened the zip folder and then I opened the application folder, and then opened the folder named com.sonyericsson.notes, and inside it was a file named fullback updata. Its size was about 20MB. I'm pretty sure this file has my notes' data. Is there any way to recover the notes data back to my phone? Or at least change the file format and view it?
I really hope somebody can help me.

As far as I know, notes cannot be recovered or backed up this traditional way. They can be however uploaded to cloud storage or sent via email. Perhaps @Samuel knows more.

Oh. And by the way, my Xperia ZR is android 4.2 jellybean.
alexdon is correct. Personally I prefer to save all important content on my Google account/drive to make sure I can't lose anything.
Then what is the file that is 20MB in size? I thought that file would have my notes data.
