Phantom Input on touchscreen

Hello,

sometimes my screen flips around like mad, as if I'm moving my finger really quick over the touchscreen, but I'm just pressing it really short. It mainly happens when I play the Simpsons tapped out game, and it also happend the first time while playing the game, but quit some time after I installed it. Every once in a while I have this problem when I'm not playing the game. I have the feeling, that it is happening more often now.

I allready removed my protection glas, because I thought that might have something to do with it, but I still have the same problem.

Any kind of advice?

Thanks

@Horchi

Does the phone has a protective case and/or film? if it does remove it > restart the phone > check again.

I had a glas-film for protection. I allready removed that today. But I did not restart the phone. Gonna do that now and see If I have the problem again.

If that doesn't work, remove it > boot on safe mode > check again.

Hi Horchi, welcome to the community!

To boot your phone in safe mode press the power key until the Power Off message appears > hold your finger on Power
Off for 2-3 seconds until 'Reboot to safe mode?' appears > tap OK. To exit Safe Mode just power the phone off & then on normally. If the issue was not present in Safe Mode, that indicates a third party app is causing the issue. In this case exit
Safe Mode and then un-install any third party apps you don't need and clear the cache/data for the apps you want to keep. If this doesn't help or you have found that the issue was still present in Safe Mode - you will need to run a software repair on the handset.

The problem is not occuring that often. So if I would run my phone in Safe Mode even for a day or two I still could not be sure the problem is caused by a third party app. So far today everything runs smoothly and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It seems my problem is solved. I even put the screen protection back on and I am still not getting any phantom input.
