I bought the Z1 Compact because the battery life was amazing. At the end of a day (about 7pm) I would still have over 60% battery life. Since upgrading to Android 5 my phone is worse than an iPhone, I am down to about 30% by 5pm. I have pressed the orange button by the sim, I have enabled every power saving option going apart from the ones that completely castrate the phone and there is no improvement. Not only that but it seems to only run 1 core of the CPU making it completley sluggish and frequently non responsive. Android 5 an upgrade? No way it is 10 steps backward. Please provide detailed and accurate instructions to allow me to revert to 4.4.4.

I am delighted to say that I seem to have improved the battery issue
Having previously tried resetting with the orange button near the sim (to no effect) I discovered that there was another reset method (holding Volume UP and Power buttons until the phone gives some beeps/vibrates). Upon trying this the status bar briefly showed "Android updated" and when I checked the battery life it was back to almost what I would expect (see image below). In short, I've gone from about 12 or 13 hours of use to about 19 hours of fairly continuous use
Hey SONY..
In aug 2014. I bought an experia Z1 compact phone. It was a good phone, battery life was very good compared to other phones. The phone ran on KITKAT. and I loved It. I could use 2 it days without charging.
In 2015 I got an update OTA. Android Lollipop. I installed it!!!!!
Now I can use it for 6 hours, then the battery is dead....
I have read many things on the internet about this. no answer for you????
Don't you care for your customer????

Tried all that, no luck.

Definately not a 3rd party app issue. I tried booting in safe mode, problem was still there. Not just me, others who updated their Z1/Compact to 14.5.A.0.270 are facing this call issue. Another bug is that the proximity sensor does not work sometimes during calls. Tried repair via PCC 3 times. Why did Sony even bother to release 14.5.A.0.270? 14.5.A.0.242 was rock-solid.
Never had that proximity sensor issue on 14.5.A.0.242 - all started with 14.5.A.0.270. Sony needs to properly test software, before they do a rollout.
Never had any battery issues on my Z1 Compact after updating to Lollipop.
