@Symo3 wrote:it's very ridiculous for a a company such as Sony to be so far behind in technology. How can they bring out a phone that costs so much with all this technology that does not support such apps as sky go.
You've very much got that the wrong way round.
Apps support the devices, not the other way round. It's the job of the app developer to make their product work with devices, not the manufacturer to make their device work with each and every million apps available.
You can see this by looking at the app information, you can see sky haven't updated sky go since April, whereas now TV (which runs off the same servers) was updates at the end of may.
You can also see that sky do intact have device control in place by again looking at the app info.
Also.. Might wanna try before you buy with S8
Vodafone aren't too happy with multiple returns.
But, again, not Samsungs fault either..
Ahhhhhh I see, sorry 🙏 just peed off really how do I delete my last message then. I just spoke with sky and they are now admitting they know about this even after the other day they said it was manufacturer problem not theirs. My call has been escalated and allegedly they are resolving this issue. How long who knows????
Explain what you do, I don't understand what other Sky app you mean... THANK
@Viridis wrote:Tested sky other app, now TV.
It works.
As they are the same streams, off the same servers, tells me it's the sky go app again.
YOU

The one in big bold letters.
Now TV is sky's other app and runs fine because it is updated.
Sky go in the other hand is not and as such has many problems off many phone users
