I have recently bought a Sony Vaio VGN-TX1PL. I understand that the size of HDD is 40 GB. However, when I go to my system settings, two HDDs are displayed; C & D. One has a total size of 13.9 GB (4.67 GB free) while the other one has a total size of 16.2 GB.This adds up to30.1GB. Just wondering where have rest of 9.9GB gone? Can someone answer as I am really panicking about this?
That is a stupid idea from Sony.
It's cheaper to make a recovery partition, as to give you a recovery DVD.
But If you have burned your recovery DVD, you can delete this partition.
(I would make this only, if the DVDs works fine!)
It's crazy of Sony to only leave 4GB free on C
Office takes up 1.5GB at least and other applications will soon fill that. Temp files from DVD burns and you'rte all out of space!
Absoutely crazy!
