How to solve Battery checker problem in VAIO E-series notebook?

Hello Guys,

I have a problem after re-installing the OS. The battery checker is telling that , "Your battery is not connected properly, Please click OK to hibernate". But battery is properly connected and sufficient charge is available.

What might be the problem?

Yeah. I have re-installed the OS .

As I have re-installed my OS, I have to install all VAIO softwares including VAIO power management, Battery checker. So I did.

Thanks for giving a hint.

ISBmgr.exe was running and the problem was due to that only. I closed that process. Now the Laptop is OK.

I'm using the same original battery.

But I'm curious to know, what is the problem in re-installation? Don't I have rights to do it?

In my point of view, Re-installation should not affect software behaviour. Am I right?

Have you reinstalled the original Sony operating system or have you installed a retail version?

Have you reinstalled Vaio Power Management?

Have you reinstalled the Battery Checker utility?

Do you have a process 'ISBMgr.exe' running at starup? Check in Task Manager.

Are you using the original battery?

I don't know what has happened - a full system recovery should reinstall all the software properly.

I just know that ISBMgr causes the message.

You could try asking Vaio Support but I guess it is a one off - at least you will know what  to do next time!!!
