Cursor disappers when typing!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Hi all - this is driving me crazy ( and happening right now!!!! ) happens in word, emails, internet etc etc - i think i've typed a sentence then look up at the screen to see that the text has stopped ages ago!!!! please help!!

Can you tell us what model of Vaio you have?
In the meantime it may be worth you scanning for viruses / spyware.

Have you tried a system restore point to before this started happening?

This is not a problem only of Sony, myself and a colleaugue at work have the same thing happening on HP laptops running Windows XP on both. It must be a virus of some kind, but it has gone undetected by CCC disk checker and malware software at work our IT department do not know how to fix it.
