Vaio Desktop VGC-V2S Upgraded to Vista - Full Screen Issue

Recently I upgraded the Vaio Desktop VGC-V2S from Windows XP to Vista.Vista is only occupying the centre of the screen.

Are there any BIOS settings that would help resolve this issue?

Is there a Sony Vaio Desktop display driver package that needs to be installed for Vista?

Go to what passes as a support page and see if there are any drivers for Vista. Chances are that there is together with some others, but if you cannot find them, Google it and you will find drivers all over the web.

It sounds like you have not installed a Vista graphics driver for the nVidia graphics - so you are just seeing VGA 640 X 480 on screen,

Sony have not put a graphics driver in the Vista upgrade download for you model so you will have to find one yourself.

Try this one: -

Thanks for the heads up.

I am away for a few days and will get a chance to try these fixes early next week.

I'll keep you posted on how things materialise.
