Connect a dv cam using i link

Hi,
I'm trying to connect my panasonic dv camera (NV-GS3) to an RS 704 using dv gate but the programme will not see the camera. Has anyone else had similar problems connecting dv cameras ? :cry:

the version of click to dvd that i have is 2.1.10.07024

When you connect the camera, do you get the new hardware found message in the systray area? Does XP identify the device correctly?

Disconnect the camera, go to device manager and delete the IEEE1394 controller. Shutdown and restart the computer - this will allow the drivers for the firewire controller to be reinstalled.

Tun on the camera, switch to playback mode and reconnect. If the camera is still not detected then try another firewire cable.
