Both are rated at 14.8 volts-4000MaH. The BP2NY is for use with processors over 3.06 GHz. There appears to be a slight difference in the cases at the connector end. I suspect there are internal electrical differences between the two, such as current limiting. The BP2NY is set up for higher current draw for the faster processors. I don't think there would be any difference in life between the two; but you must use the BP2NY with the faster processors.
