No me lee cd's ni dvd's

Lo primero de todo, Feliz Año!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tengo un fz21s, y mi problema es que al insertar cd's o dvd's no me los lee. Me aparece un mensaje de preparar este disco en blanco, y si continuo me pone que lo va a formatear. Da igual si el disco es pirata como si es original, si es regrabable como si no.
He estado mirando por ahí y me parece que es del formato de los discos, pero no tengo ni idea.

Esto me lo hace desde hace una semanas, el portatil tiene un mes, y anteriormente me iba bien.

He estado mirando en el foro y no he encontrado nada relacionado con esto, es caso de que se me haya escapado algún tema que trate de esto, agradecería que me indicarais donde está, porque no lo ví, o me dieseis la solución.

Pues es realmente raro lo que te sucede, yo tampoco he leído en este foro nada parecido..en todo caso si se hubiese estropeado la unidad lectora se supone que no te cogería nada ni te daría opción de formatear...yo creo que debe ser algo del sistema, intenta retornar el sistema a algún momento previo a que te empezase a suceder esto...Saludos..

La unidad lectora no creo que esté estropeada porque puedo ver el contenido de los cd's/dvd's si le doy al botón derecho y a buscar en el disco, eso si tengo que saber el nombre del archivo.

Lo que me sorprende es que a más amigos míos también les ha pasado lo mismo, y ellos tienen portátiles de otras marcas, asi que cosa de sony no es.

Hay alguns problemas con algunas drives de cd/dvd...Matshita, Pioneer...

Contacta la assistencia por la cambiar por una outra marca...

Arranca el Vaio con un disco de utilidades como Hirens Boot CD, o un disco de Windows Vista, ó XP, y ve a la cónsola de comandos, y haces un dir /s..... si lo lee, entonces el problema está en el sistema operativo, no en la unidad lectora.

El problema debe de ser del sistema operativo, porque tengo una máquina virtual que emula el XP, porque hay ciertos programas que no funcionan aún en vista y los necesito. Y en esa máquina virtual si que me funcionan todos los cd's y dvd's.

Al final tendré que restaurar el sistema operativo, pero me gustaría saber por qué me ocurre esto, ya que tengo amigos que también les pasa, y si restauro el sistema, quién me dice que no me vuelva a fallar al cabo de un tiempo.

Igual el problema se debe a la máquina virtual más que a ninguna otra cosa..¿tus amigos q también les pasa tienen el mismo tipo de instalación?..Prueba a instalar xp en otra partición...o prueba lo que te ha dicho v57, que aunque no se ha explicado muy bien por la traducción creo que se refiere a que instales algún otro driver compatible..o que desinstales el driver matushita o pioneer y le dejes lo que te coja por omisión vista o xp..Saludos..

Lo problema no es instalar algun otro driver compatible, o que desinstalar el driver matshita o pioneer, mas los proprios lectores de cd/dvd que tienen problemas...

Several members seem to have problems with their CD/DVD drives at the moment. As far as I know, there is no magic solution but you could try some or all of the following: -

1. See if there is an updated driver or updated firmware for your drive at Vaio-Link. Some Sony drives are re-badged from other manufacturers and you may have to search for updated downloads. ...Many other drives are also supported on this site.
2. Use System Restore to return your Vaio to the configuration when it was last working normally.
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore - choose a restore date before you had the problem.
3. Look in Device Manager to see if there are any errors against your DVD/CD-ROM drive.
Start -> Right-Click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager - expand DVD/CD-ROM Drives and check the status. If there is an Error Code or a yellow triangle with a ! or ? come back here with the number and we may be able to help.
4. If there is no error and the drive is reported as working normally, try Uninstalling the drive by right-clicking on it in Device Manager and choosing Uninstall. Re-booting your Vaio will reinstall the drivers.
5. Try some different software to read/write your discs and see if that works. Also try a different brand of discs - Sony, TDK and Verbatim seem favourites.
6. Try a liquid lens cleaner on the lens and polish with a microfibre cloth ? this can sometimes help.
7. If your drive works with either CDs or DVDs only make sure the ribbon cable is not preventing the reader head from moving freely - check that the laser head in the drive can move freely for the whole range of its travel. The disc information is held on the outside tracks for DVDs and the inner tracks for CDs.
8. Last resort is to perform a full C:\ Drive System Recovery from your Recovery Discs. Make sure you back up all your Data as the contents of C:\ will be lost and your Vaio returned to the factory configuration.

If none of these work, you may have a hardware problem and you need to contact Vaio-Link. There is no point contacting them until you have carried out a Drive C:\ Recovery as this is the first thing they will ask you to do.
