Can't connect to router

My Sony Bravia TV recognises my router but it is unable to connect after I have entered the password. I think this is because the password contains hyphens and there are no hyphens on the input chart. I have tries spaces and stops but they don't work. Can anybody solve this?

Thanks BlackRose,

I rang Sony and they advised me to connect using the WPS button on the router, which worked. They did not suggest the red button .

Hi Sundit1,

Welcome to the community. Which model TV do you have?

Hi Sundit1,

The password will never be accepted if you don't enter the exact same characters that you're using for your router.

The remote control contains some coloured buttons like red and yellow. I believe when you press the red one it brings up a list of characters that you can choose from.
