I can't access Google Play Store and Gmail with WiFi.
But I can access other applications with WiFi (which means WiFi is connected) and I can access both Google Play Store and Gmail with Data traffic- EDGE (which means my Google account is added properly).
I am facing this problem only recently (both apps used to work with WiFi before).
I have tried deleting cache and deleting app data, but problem still persists. Please help!

download speedtest from the market and test your wifi
Bazinga, oh sheldon
Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately I don't have any data left on my data plan and thus I can't access Play Store with EDGE. As I mentioned WiFi works fine with other apps.
ok open the browser > speedtest.net
it might be a bug, have you disable any apps? any taskillers or antivirus running?
this might help
also check if your router has any restrictions

Everytime I go to speedtest.net (using phone's browser or Dolphin Browser), Google Play pops up and never loads (the problem). Yes I'm using Avast.
repair your phone with SUS > do NOT install any app > uninstall mcafee > test your connection, so your connection was working at one time since you install avast.

Interesting
I can't access the site http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2651367 with my PC. And I use my PC to create a hotspot and then connect to it using my Xperia U.
Now I wonder if it's a problem with my ISP.
Hope I'm not sounding stupid (unlike Shelly).
Another piece of info: I do receive mails properly on the Xperia U default 'Email' app using WiFi.
Google Play Store started working with WiFi today. Didn't do anything from my part.
Guess it might have been a server issue. Thanks a bunch!
