I finally gave in and updated the phone because the shutdowns and restarts were getting ridiculous but now cant find / or access memory card no matter how many times i restart my phone or take the card out however the card itself is fine and works as i can put it directly in laptop and access my stuff on there.

Any advice plz as am finding all these updates ridiculous and seem to have more problems with my phone with each new update i cant wait for my contract upgrade an may just buy a new phone at this rate.

that was more helpful as the most important piece of information which was where to put the downloaded files was what was missing

yes its done now many thank for the perseverence and i have access to my memory card again....so tell me is this a common thing with the upgrade or is it just a few unlucky souls and is it worth trying the upgrade again as all i have seen is people with the common problem of missing sd....what would be your advice as i have tried the upgrade 3 times but that was over the top of the current upgrade and am toying with whether to upgrade again using the link you sent this time without anything in it and if it doesnt work remaining with the previous version...since i now can revert back

some unlucky souls as you stated, you can update again, either w/ flashtool or SEUS but make sure to remove the SD card before hand

no problem, at least you have access to your SD card through your phone, which was the initial issue

thats it its confirmed that 2.3.3 doesnt work as it leaves the phone unable to find the sd card so its one update that can take a running jump off a very steep cliff but thanks anyway....reverting back to where the phone works best and wont be getting or recommending another SE phone to anyone based on the grief this phone has given.
