Xperia M stuck on Sony logo

Hi,

My wife's Xperia M won't turn on, and keeps getting stuck on the Sony logo.

I tried the Update Service, but keeps getting Installation Failed. Software Update only or resetting to factory defaults and software update gives the same result.

I just downloaded the PC Companion Web and clicked start on Support Zone, then start on Phone/Tablet Software Update. It's unable to detect the phone. I tried disconnecting/reconnecting the phone but it still not detected. (Please note the Sony logo is still showing). I also tried removing the battery for a minute or two, then connect it again to the PC via USB cable. It keeps gowing to the Sony logo, and still undetectable.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Ok, get this hmm application to your PC. http://www.flashtool.net/download.php
Then get this firmware (i know, it's huge. Its the system or software of the phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2781799
This is the latest 4.3(above link)
Ok the steps is:
Download the firmware file
Move the file to C:\\Flashtool\firmware (i don't remember the slash, it either \ or /)
Open flashtool
Click on thunder/lightning icon
Click flashmode
Find the file you just placed just now and start flashing
Wait until a pop up message appear
Connect your phone in flashmode (close your phone and hold volume down but don't let go and connect the phone to PC using a USB cable until you see a flashing red-green light, thats when you can let go of the volume button)
Wait until file finishes flashing.
