Question about camera

Why does the camera in Xperia Z3 open directly in landscape mode? How can I prevent that and keep it in portrait mode?

Not sure I understand your question - Are you saying that turning the phone to portrait doesn't work or do you mean something else?

No. But when I open The camera app of my mobile, it directly open in a landscape mode. Even if I am holding the phone vertically. and I can't change that from the settings. I want the camera to rotate to landscape mode only when I hold my phone horizontally.

Not sure but I think it is related to the resolution and ratio. Try to set it on 4:3.

Strange,I have read here on the forum that the settings you apply to manual mode are reset when you exit the camera. Maybe @uliwooly has an idea about this.

I fixed it. Thanks everyone. I went to settings>apps>all>camera>clear data. And it is fixed.
