Phone suddenly stuck in boot screen loop - Please Help!

I got an Xperia Z the other day and I have been using it for a few days now. I connected it to the computer when i got it, ran the recommended updates, then put my data such as pictures and music onto the internal storage.

The phone has been working fine until today when i swittched the phone off to go into an exam. When I came out the phone switched on but when to a screen that i'd never seen before that looked like a traingle with tools in it and a scrolling loading bar. Then it went to restart and has got stuck in a restart loop. The phone will display the Sony logo, then Xperia logo then do two of the little animations before freezing and restarting.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I really need to get some of the data off the phone as it is very important.

Thanks in advance,

The data you're talking about, is it on your internal memory or phone memory ?

( internal memory > where you store media

Phone memory > where you install app ? ?)

If it's on internal memory then reinstall the phone's software using SUS and you'll get your phone working again. If it's on phone memory  then you'll loose it.

Follow the steps

Press and hold the power button + Volume Up button for

10 Seconds > ( 3 Vibrations ) Force shutdown

After shutting down, reinstall the software

SUS ( Sony Update Service)  ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions

Photos are on internal memory so they are safe.

Contacts are on phone memory, did you back up your contacts  ever ?
