Hi,
I have purchased Xperia Z on 27th of March-13 and within 2-4 days its started giving me problem with storage.
My External 32GB micro sd card got corrupted, i thought its micro SD card is faulty so i bought another one with sme brand and size, but unfortunetly after 15 days it got corrupted.this time i was not able to access the internal one also (error- storage not mounted).
So on 27th May-13 i submitted my handset to sony authorised service center to get it resolved, and today is 13th Working day but still sony people dont have any clue of my handset nor service center.
This is very disappointing as brand like sony giving such kind of service.
Can anyone help me to get my handset back ?
Rgds

I don't think th eproblem is with your internal sd card. because your android is installed on it. if there's problem, OS will be behaving very weirdly right. for example, a lot of force closes.
i'm guessing that they didn't take ur sim card or even your SD card when they took the phone to check right? I know it's their policy but they should have taken your sd card together with the phone and check for compatibility issues. If after 2 weeks and they still haven't find any problem, its either theres nothing wrong with the phone, they don't ahve competent people looking at itm or th eproblem is with the sd cards. both of them in fact.
I know i've said it many times on this forum but this error, "error- storage not mounted" has been occurring a lot lately (a lot from sandisk class 10 & some class 4 sd cards) from different users of different phones like users from S4, HTC One and even Z. Some were saying that the new sd cards are thinner and is causing these issues or due to the phones manufacturers. either that or poor production quality. But there has been no official statements from the manufacturer of the sd cards or the phones on this issue, hence, it's very difficult to identify where the fault is.
If you're having problems with your new cards, send it back to the seller and inform them. They are supposed to change for a new one. And make sure you test them on the spot before you walk away.
have you tried to re-install your mobile and see if fresh copy of android 4.1.2 will corrupt your SD card if issue disapears after this then it could maybe been only a bug or failure on current android 4.1.2 thats on your phone.

Hi
Thanks for replay, I tried all the mentioned things and after that i submitted my handset to sony service center.
The only thing what i want to know is do we get New handset or do thay repair the same handset and give backto us.
As when i call to customer care they tell me that montherboard will be replaced and if i call Service center thay say the handset will be swaped with new one.
So im bit confused.
usually it depends on the situation. whether the phone is new or it has been arond a long time whereever u are. if the hp is new, they will most likely jjust replace the handset since they don't usualle have spare motherboards or handsets cept for new one. However, if the phone has been around for a a while, they will replace the motherboard and retrun u the phone.
In this case, i'll tend to believe the service centre, since they're the one handling your mobile.
