Headset plugged in, but sound still comes out of speaker.

I have plugged my headset in, and I can use it for calls and other things... But whenever I get a text it only uses the speaker for it.
Anyone got a clue how to fix that?
I have checked that it is inserted correctly and looked at the settings where I have chosen the type of headset I am using.

Are you referring to the notification sound? If you are that's normal / it's supposed to work like that.

Yes the notification sound, but I want to be able to get a notification only in my headset. When I plug in the headset it's because I have a need to be silent and then it is no good that my phone keeps speaking.
