Deleted pictures keep coming back

I have a problem deleting photos from my phone. After deleting photos and deleting them from trashcan as well they seem like they have been deleted but when i turn my phone off and on again, the deleted pictures are there again. I have deleted them at least seven times, but they always keep coming back. Am I doing something wrong or what is the problem? I don't use Google's auto back up, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Anyone else having this problem or know how to solve this? Or is it just impossible to delete the photos without using the computer?

I am a New android user, i had Iphone before i bought this sony few months back so feel free to talk to me like i'm an idiot, because i am with android.

Has anybody solved this yet? I have a Z3 compact and still have the same issue. I have checked that I'm not syncing with any apps, no Google backup, no auto restore etc... I can't move my stored data from my internal storage to the SD card for some reason.

I have tried deleting through Album app, deleting from File Commander, removing SD card and putting it in to laptop to see what is contained on there (I found a folder containing all the pics, which I deleted but it came back again after putting it in the phone), resetting the handset at various stages, I have also connected via USB and tried to delete everything in Windows Explorer.

They STILL come back. Please help.

Mine does the exact some thing... I can't even open half of the photos cause they are gone funny and unable to see them like a glitch

How this is marked as solved? I cant believe the solution ia to delete via file commander, because I disabled this app... There must be a system wide solution! Sony, this is unnaceptable, it is like calling your customers dumb idiots... Ridiculously sad

I have just upgraded my old Xperia to a Z5 mini and I am STILL having this issue - I put it down to it being an old phone, but was so mad when my new one started bringing old photos back that I deleted MONTHS ago.

The photos being brought back don't exist anywhere on my SD or internal memory and I've deleted all thumbnails - where are they saved?!?!

I wouldn't mind if it was a couple of photos but it brings the same 30 or so photos back every day!

Sony helpline were absolutely useless!

I have the same problem lost count of how many times I've deleted these photos just keep returning.
There not stored any where else, there not backed up and they just keep coming back frustrating is a understatement

My phone has been having the same problems! I swear I'm constantly deleting the same photos!
