Contact Problem

New Z5 compact has imported contacts from my gmail account, these are not up to date, if I do the contact transfer from my iphone will these overwrite the gmail contacts or do I need to delete the gmail contacts first?

open the contacts/phonebook > menu > filter > uncheck Gmail contacts.
