Since I updated my Xperia Z to the 4.4.4 kitkat using pc companion, I couldn't copy any file to SD card

Searching on Google I knew their is a restrictions for third party apps but even my first party apps can't write on my SD card (32 gb). Camera app can't save captured pictures to SD, file commander says error when I try to copy to SD.

I got a notification than is my internal is full with more than 75% space when try to transfer media to SD says error

I am really tired of this **bleep** tried factory reset, changing my SD card but didn't fix the problem.

When I mount SD card from settings then remount it works even with third-party apps but when I reboot the phone all files I copied to SD card is lost as I didn't even use it

I still can use file that is already on SD card and also can copy it to internal storage.

The sony's kitkat update really ruined my SD card, pls any help to fix this?

Reformat your microSD in FAT32 and check again.

I am having this for about 4 months now, I said to my self wait for the next update and it will be fixed.

But the next update will be lollipop and it won't be released for xperia z before couple of months. As always updates being released at very late time.

I doubt z3 will get lollipop before March.
I doubt z will get lollipop before May ;(

Tried erase from settings, It just worked until rebooting, like mount then unmount didn't fix the problem

My SD card is already fat32

But when I removed sd from the phone then reformatted it with the pc, It worked perfectly even when I rebooted my phone twice to check the problem is not coming back again.

Now it works with both first-third party apps perfectly
