Android Native Calendar Application unreadable font

Hi,

I am using the native calendar app (of the andoid OS) since long and found quite an annoying glitch.

In the widget i have added to my homescreen, the date of each event is written in white font. Unfortunately the background of the app is white too.

Do you have any solutions to make the date readable correctly ?

Thanks for your kind advice

Go into calendar > menu button (three dots in the upper right corner) > settings > unmark notifications.

We have noticed this and passed this on internally.

For now I can recommend you to download the "Google calendar" app from Google Play. That calendar widget is almost the same as the one you are using now. But it uses different colors.

Hi Alexander,

Thanks for your reply and advice.

The problem now is that i used to use both apps at the same time as i do not know how to disable the native calendar app. I always had double notifications when there is an event coming up and it's quite annoying.

Will you be so kind to explain to me how to setup the phone to only use the Google Calendar App and not let the native calendar app obstruct me by doubling the notifications ?

Go into calendar > menu button (three dots in the upper right corner) > settings > unmark notifications.

Just go to settings -> storage -> apps. Find "Calendar". Tap on this one and press "disable". Hope this helps. I just tested this and have only one calendar - the google one instead of two in apps menu. And sure I get notifications only from google calendar, not the native one, which has been disabled.
