I've got a Sony SmartWatch 3 (SWR50) that worked perfectly well with my Z5 but since upgrading to my XZ Premium I have had difficulties with it staying connected.
I have been able to initially set it up a number of times (you have to go through a full factory reset on the watch to connect it to a new device) but after a time (haven't been able to spot a pattern) it shows as not connected and the Android Wear app shows "trying to connect". I also see a message on both the watch and the phone to confirm the code for initial pairing.
I connect the phone to my car's bluetooth and that does not have any of the same problems, except that connection is sometimes flaky.
Is this a XZ Premium problem, OS problem or watch problem? Any help gratefully received.
Thanks in advance
The bluetooth is very flaky, I have the same issues with the SW3 (which incidentally is the worst of all 3 watch versions that I've owned re staying connected)
Im having some issues with Bluetooth also being very sketchy. My Fitbit struggles to connect on a daily basis, transferring photos via bluetooth is also totally hit and miss sometimes seeming to hang for 10 to 20 mins before starting the transfer almost like the is a preset delay in sending files. I read that this might be an OS problem but couldn't find and concrete proof on that though. There are a number of othe topics on here calling out Bluetooth issues, whether that is connecting to cars, speakers or other things so looks like it might be a problem but not one that everyone is experiencing.
Don't forget that you have to "Unpair" and Reset to factory settings your SW3, before connecting to new device.
I have the SW3 connected to Z5 premium before and now it's connected to XZ Premium.

This is what I didn't remember when disconnecting from my Z3+ TO XZP. I have bigger problems with finding a watch strap than problems with the SW3.
