Hi,
Doesn't Xperia XZ Premium support Quick Charge 4.0?
But both spectsheet and the charger that comes with XZP both says QC3.
I thought SD835 supports QC4 ?
Am I missing something? Will the software be updated to support it?
QC4+ was just announced as well, and it supports SD835.
Not sure how this works; whether a software update will do or it has to do with hardware.
But it should atleast support Quick Charge 4.0

Hi again @PatQQ!
I received some more information now and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 is not supported on the Xperia XZ Premium, and there is no plan to support it in the future.
So the specifications are correct, it does support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, but not 4.0.
I hope that answers your question!

That is sad news.
I thought all Snapdragon 835 supports Quick Charge 4.0
I guess i'll just have to live with QC 3.0
Thanks !
Hi again, sorry for the late reply!
You're welcome and I will make sure to forward your thoughts on this internally as user feedback!
As far as I can see on the Qualcomm homepage, they have not added any information on which devices that supports Quick charge 4.0 (https://www.qualcomm.com/media/documents/files/quick-charge-device-list.pdf).
If I receive some new information regarding this, I will let you know.
Apparently the 835 supports QC 4 yet I have to say, I'm never using QC anyway and as the battery cannot be changed, I'd strongly advise the same. QC is a battery killer, talking of the LG G4, the battery capacity of my first battery decresed from 3.000 mah to 2.000 in only 6 month, after that I never used QC again and another 17 month in, my battery is still it 2.850. Many reports from different forums suggest the same.

whenever you feel like doing so. I wouldn't worry about it.
