USB powering ooptions

Just got a new TV it has two USB ports but eahc has a different value 

1.  USB (5V 0.5A)

2. USB (HDD 5V 1A)

Not sure which one is safe to leave charging phone?

Both of them are lower than the standard charger's ampere value, so both of them are safe but will charge slower than the standard charger (0.5A is obviously even slower than the 1A).
