Sadly, sony is no longer interested in customizing they launcher to deliver unique experience. What they are interested in is to cut the costs, therefore they are constantly removing existing features / functions to a degree of ugly and stock android without any features considered as brand recognition. Even for their premium users they are doing this.
Unfortunately we can only expect continuation of cost reduction. You cannot expect new features like RAW support in this regard.
There is almost no difference in user experience between sony and any no name chinese brand. If you expect many options, different customisations as per user preference and new features to be provided by manufacturer then you need to switch the brand.
