Hello,
I used to have a Nokia Lumia and because of that I use Microsoft Groove, which also has the added bonus that I can stream rips of my cds from OneDrive. There is a version of Groove for Android, but it does not work well on my XZ Premium. It shuts down every 10 minutes or so. Now I noticed three things: 1) this does not happen on my Android tablet, 2) I don't see any Spotify or Deezer users complain about this here and 3) it does not happen when the XZ Premium is connected to its charger.
So what I think is that there is a specific problem with Android on the XZ Premium that does not recognize that Microsoft Groove is playing music and shuts it down to save battery life. I do not have the 'Stamina' mode activated.
Since that's a third party app, it's up to the app developer to address any bugs/issues with it.
It might be, but it might also be a problem with the way Android OS is implemented by Sony, since I couldn't find any other mentions of it on the Groove support forums and it doesn't happen on my Android tablet (which has another version of Android.)
I did post the problem on the Microsoft Groove support forum too.
you can look for other apps that work with an Android device and not others, keep in mind that Sony is the closest thing to vanilla Android.
I also have this issue. The app dose not have the issue on my lgg5 so I do wonder if it's a sony issue or android 7.1 really hope we get a fix as don't find other music services as good.
