Hello.
Well my problem is that i bought an samsung msd card 128gb. I put it in the sd card case, plugged it in my pc and dropped some stuff in there, which worked fine. But my phone isnĀ“t loading it. Apps >Settings the card is displayed. I connected my phone to the pc, which also shows me that sd card is in there. Strange thing is, i canĀ“t drag and drop anything, it just gives me an error message. Something like "stopped working" or something.
PicĀ“s and videoĀ“s arenĀ“t showed in the gallery, neither are audio files.
I tried to clear the cache and the stoare data and restarted but it didnĀ“t help. Also, if i take the card out and plug it into my pc, it just works. dropping in, dragging out, playing... I think itĀ“s a hardware problem
Would be glad if anyone could help me.

Hello Kingsmith,
I suspect the issue may be the Format of the card. As it is appearing normally under Windows but not on the phone, it may be that it has been formatted as NTFS. The phone will recognise FAT32 (limited to 32GB with a 4GB maximum file size) or exFAT (maximum 2TB). If your card is not one of those then I recommend re-formatting under Windows to exFAT. (NB. make sure that you have saved the contents to hard disc first :smileyhappy:)
Regards,
Kevin

Have you tried formatting in the phone?
This can clear up external SD storage issues.
Are you connecting to the PC in MTP mode?

Cool, let us know how it works.
FYI, using a USB C to (USB C or USB 3) is much faster than the included cables.
The included charger cable is built for higher charge currents but data transfer is at USB 2 speeds

Just as an addition, i put another Micro Sd card in there andthat worked. The pics and Videos are showing up in the gallery.
The "unusable" sd card is still getting recognized, and i can look it up via storage or es file explorer. IĀ“m also able to save to sd card and watch pics and videos in the file explorer. ItĀ“s just that the files donĀ“t show up in the gallery.
Also, when the phone is connected and the sd inserted, i canĀ“t do anything.
Plus, when using the sd in the pc directly, itĀ“s not working either.
I guess itĀ“s a Hardware problem, but on the other side of the river. The card itself seems to be the prob here. IĀ“ll check it and get back
Thanks for this helpful tip.

It's a strange one, I'm also using a 128gb card but it's behaving as expected...
I'd try the format in phone as well as a test in H2testw on PC to verify it's not corrupt in any way.
