i have just purchased a new xperia zx premium and so far so good - the camera is great and I like the overall size and feel of the device so happy days there.
There are a few buys in the way that it connects to my car and I dont know if I am just being stupid or are there genuine issues with the Xperia devices.
My work device is a Galaxy S8 plus which connects to my car via bluetooth and allows me to control apps that support the BMW connected drive system such as Spotify or Pandora. Using the controls and screen in the car I could access my music off Spotify and search playlists etc. This feature seems to be missing when I connect the Xperia ZX Premium??
2nd problem is that the contracts stored on my phone are not being sent to the car meaning I cannot access my phone book, speed dials etc. Again this works fine on the Galaxy S8 running the same version of Android so I know its not a operating system issue or limitation.
There are still 4 days left of my 14 days cooling off period with the retaiIer I purchased the device off so if these bugs are infact massive features that are missing then I will have to return and rething my next device.
Anyone have the same issues or any advice etc?
The Xperia has been udpated to the latest version, all apps including the sony branded one are updated and I have paired, deleted and re-paired the phone to the car.
As a last resort I have also carried out a repair on the device software using the supporting PC suite.
