I have the official AN400 car charger which Sony confirmed would be suitable for the XZ. I haven't had it long and used it for my M2. Using the cable that came with the phone, it failed to charge and actually discharged it.
With the phone on 21% it lost 1% of battery with the screen off every minute or so when connected. When it fell to 16% I removed it from charge and it stayed on 16% for at least 15 minutes.
The AN420 is recommended for my phone but it's expensive or out of stock in most places plus my current 12v charger is quite new. There are third party ones but I'm dubious as to whether they are suitable? I knew my 400 wouldn't charge as fast but actually discharge the phone?
