Canno't update or installed apps from Play Store!

Hello,

I just got the Xperia XZP G8142 yesterday and I think it started happening after a system update.

The issue is that I cannot download/update anything form the Play Store using my LTE connection.

And YES, I have changed the settings to allow downloads using cellular network. I have done this on all my phones in the past and I can still actually do it on my previous phone, the LG V20.

Any one else experiancing this issue?

Can you download app updates through WLAN? 

Have you tried to clear the cache from playstore or delete the playstore updates?

Hi,

Yes, via WiFi it works but not on LTE. I changed the settings accordingly too.

I cleared the cache, and used Xperia software reset, did multiple resets and the same issue exists. Anyone else with the G8142 having the same issue on LTE that cannot download/update apps on the Play Store?

what if you disable LTE and try using 3G only?

Will it download and then stop at 100% and fail to kick on the install process or just simply not download at all?

Hi, It will not work in LTE. It will, however, work on 3G.

Also to answer another question, it does not download at all. It just keep saying downloading.

TEMPORARY SOLUTION: Go to network settings and change it to GSM ONLY instead of LTE. Then go the play store and try to download anything (I know it is slow but just try) and then once it start to download, cancel the download and switch it back to LTE. Then it will work until the phone is restarted or down. Kind of weird solution but hey, it worked for me as a temporary solution.

Hi, I was having the same issue on my international version. Is yours the US or international version? Thanks for this fix, it worked for me so far.
