Where is the £ pound sign?

Only had the tablet S a few days and can't find the £ sign! The euro is there of course but not the £ sign.

I have the number key pad displaying so is this the problem?

Press the 'ABC?123' button  and then the 'Alt' button and it should be there

Or get yourself a better keyboard. I use swiftkey and the £ is located on the x key.

Thanks. Just getting the meaning of the highlight strip on certain keys. (On my Xperia Shift changes to 1¦2 with the 1 or 2 highlighted to indicate which symbol set you are using.)
