Putting books onto Tablet S

How do I put books to read onto my Sony Tablet S? I have them on my computer (Windows 7) & put them onto the SD but it will not download onto tablet. What am I doing wrong? Or what haven't I done?

from the sd card, you need to transfer over the books onto the tablet memory using the filetranser app, only then will the reader app find them as the sd storage does not mingle with the buolt in memory. something I hope will be fixed in an update. if it doesnt find the books, refresh in the setting and make sure the file type is supported
