What is my VOS serial number?!?

I just recently bought my Vaio laptop and while trying to complete the online registration, I'm asked to write in the VOS serial number (in the VOS Details section).

No matter what serial number I write, i get a message stating that...The VOS Number you entered does not exist (or is already registered).

What exactly is my VOS serial number?!

Its amazing what a phone call to VL can do, as it seems some of details were missing even though I wrote them in the appropriate spaces online.

Did you buy your Vaio in Hong Kong?

If so, this link will explain what the VOS number is, but not where to find it.

If your Vaio came with overseas service then presumably it will be in the documentation somewhere.
