Thermal throttle

I have a new Vaio s12v9.

The problem is the wireless keeps cutting out, with the error message

Wireless adapter thermal throttle is active, and no wifi.

Whats going on? And how do I get round this?

What version of the Intel Wireless driver do you have installed?

I think there is a problem with Version 13.1 so try updating to 13.3 available for download on the support page for your model here: -

If you have already done this and it has not fixed the problem, I have read that another solution is to go to the Intel download site and get Version 13.0 which seems to work OK.
