Stolen laptop

hey guys only had the laptop like 2months and its been stolen worst of all i dont have the serial number i have the box and my invoice from a local department store i bought it from is there anyway of "tracing" it online or something along those terms really gutted as ive still got a few more months of paying it off.

any help would be grealty appreciated

Sony Vaio EB series if that helps

Hi Ben,

sorry to read that your Vaio has been stolen..:smileysad:

As far as I am aware the serial number for your vaio should be printed on the side of the original box.

The serial number should is in 2 parts:

• an 8-digit model code, starting by 27, 28, 29 or 54.
• a 7-digit serial number

Have you registered your vaio.?

If you have registered your vaio and you are unable to locate the serial number on the original box then if you happy to please send your name, contact number &/or email address via Private Message to either  Blencogo or me and we'll forward them onto someone from Vaio support who will hopefully contact you..

You should also report the theft to the Police.

Once you have your vaio's serial number if you provide the following information to Vaio support..

- the serial number of your stolen vaio..
- a copy of the police report..
- contact details of the police department handling the theft..

They will place your vaio onto their stolen database..

Sorry to hear this.

I've removed your laptop details as this is a public forum.

I would recommend that you report the theft to the police.

I would then recommend contacting the support team on 020 7365 2810 who will assist with putting your VAIO onto the stolen database.
