Recovery of Windows 7

Hi,

My vaio model is vgn-nw21mf/s. My windows 7 doesn't want to start. I have recovery discs and I also think there is a recovery partition on the c:drive but I don't even get to the logo VAIO any more so I can't proceed to the recovery choices. I could get to the logo earlier today but never to the recovery choises. I have tried to press F10 multiple times but nothing happens. The computer feels very warm. Could it be that Windows will not start due to the fan being to warm? Help please.

It could be many things.  It could be your hard drive has failed or some other component may have failed on the main board.

Let it cool down completely, take the battery out and hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Then try to restart it - does the Vaio logo appear?

One thing you could try is to re-seat the memory modules.  A poor connection could stop your Vaio starting.
