Power Supply/netzteil verandern (englisch+schlecht Deutsch)
Hi dear Sony forum users,
I buy a Sony RS 102 since a month,
and I am wondering if I can chance the power supply block.
In fact, I am planning to buy a Fx card,
but these one ask for a 300+ Watts power.
And the one integrated mit the computer ist a 185 one...
I think yes, but I prefer to be sure.
thanks!
and sorry for my bad english!

Kee-Lo,
Youre confusing me now, a plug is 240 VOLTS.
Its all in the amperage of the appliance (or in this case computer components)
AMPS x VOLTS = WATTS

You've brought Amps into the conversation

Rob,
Sorry about that
Ampere - The unit of electric current, equal to a flow of charge of one coulomb per second (where a coulomb is the charge carried by 6 x 1018 electrons). It is useful to think of current as a flow of water, in litres per second. A larger flow usually needs a bigger wire (or pipe) to carry the extra electrons (or water).

I confirm,
amp X Volt = Watt.
Und watt is Joule per second

And never forget Ohms law - The current through an electrical resistor or wire is proportional to the potential difference across the two ends and is inversely proportional to its resistance.
ie I = V/R
and I think that about concludes the basic electrical circuitry course

und Watt = ohm * amps² ,isnt it?

but that doesnt say me, if I can change my Power Supply,
because I would be very annoyed if not...
Should I beware of the voltage?
