Poor Customer Service

I recently bought a Vaio PCV-W2 Great little machine until six weeks from day of purchase the power supply failed.

I thought fine lets go through the procedures that is recommended and contact the Viao Technical line.

Big mistake....You are on hold ...hold......hold...no answer except an automated voice..
And remember you are paying 7p per min...It all adds up...nice money earner, especially if you have no staff to answer the calls....

Oh by the way the other number 08705111999 puts you on forever hold and that is head office for the UK.

If you say to me use the website..how? The power supply is down on my sony desktop. I had to bring the old computer out of moth balls to send this.

Bad show SONY a bit of customer after care can go a long way.

Another day, another person fed up of Sony Support.

I'm sorry for the service you received, I'm sure you're aware that this forum isn't manned or read by Sony Support staff so there isn't anything we can do as such.

Since you have your other computer up and running I would suggest using e-Support @ www.vaio-link.com. It's certainly not ideal and by all means voice your conerns at support. It probably won't make you feel better but there's only recently been a spate of criticism (at least a large increase) towards the support, so I'm wondering if maybe they've just got a bunch of people off sick or their exchange isn't working or......I don't know.

I'm beginning to wonder if Sony are pilfering staff from Dixons.

The sad reality is this happens on a lot of company lines...
