hey there, always had this problem but been too lazy to fix it, but now its bugging me too much, my vaio forever locks up on ie, works fine and then for no apparent reason just stops transferring data to the wirless ntwk, have another pc on it and that has never skipped a beat....any clues ?

Had a similar problem with a TR5, not sure what innards you have but my integrated wireless is Intel.

I identified it thru device manager, went to www.intel.com and downloaded the newest Intel driver for it. Since then I have had no more problems.

It was a large download but I did not install the software. I just manually installed the driver using device manager after unzipping the file.

Pain in the ass this problem. Scan for viruses. Scan for spyware (Ad-aware and Spybot are best, google to find them). Then locate the latest driver at www.vaio-link.com. Finally, if you don't have SP2 now would be a good time. It solves many wireless issues.
