McAfee Internet Security 2011 does not activate for weeks, since 10th January 2011, even though we have a McAfee Account from last year, so it seems that the £39.50 spent at Peter Jones Department store in London is wasted. When discussed with the computer department there - top floor -, no refund is given. Also the Sony Vaio VGN-CS21S/R is also faulty from new, the lowest part of the screen about twenty lines - is constantly blinking. Again, when this blinking is discussed with customer service, we are told that the rapair will take weeks. Meanwhile the Internet Subsciption continues. The motor car manufacturers have also been providing less then perfect service for a long time as the car is a necessity for everyday living, as is the internet these days. When one goes to a restaurant, the advantage is on the side of the people running it. The guest needs to eat, so he or she will just have to wait, or go away. Same at the National Health Service, the patient is not well, so it will be to his advantage to wait for treatment. The advantage is on the side of the people who suppose to provide the service, but they dont. The complex international nature of most businesses also complicates the service element. Most people feel that they are overworked and underpaid, therefore simply follow procedure, until the entire company is re-organised at great expense, people loosing their jobs, having to re-locate etc.
