As far as I am aware, the Recovery Discs check the Vaio Model Type in the BIOS and will not install on any model apart from when these match.  So Either ..................

• Sony have sent you the wrong discs for your model
• The Model Type in your BIOS is wrong

Before we go back to Sony, can you check what model is listed in your BIOS.

1. Shut down your Vaio
2. Restart and when you see the first Vaio scren, tap F2 repeatedly
3. This will open the BIOS Screens - check the Vaio Model
4. Exit

If you let me have the Vaio Support Case Number, I will chase up a reply from Sony.
