I cannot format dvd-rw Platinum with INCD Nero can annybody help

I try'd to preformat dvd-rw Platinum for use as backup disc, when i try to format it with INCD from NERO it comes with an error, and the program cannot write to the disc
I try'd a few disc's but nothing works.

I have got the latest drivers for my sony dvd drive DW U50

I use a PCG FR315S

Can annybody help

What's the error message? Nero seems to be quite reliable software so I would suspect the drive or the media - I use TDK only.

Do a full erase on the disk and try again.

Thank everybody I have tryd it with an other disc (no Platinum) and everthing works, this is an 2,4 max write DVD-RW , the Platinum is a 4 x write disc meaby that is the reason why the platinum not works. Because the speed of my burner is also 2,4

I think it's more to do with the writing surface.

i tried verbatim and got nowhere. neither nero, nor drag and drop could handle them. nero complained that they were illigal!

i'm taking them back as they do not conform to trading standard.

i'll try tdk.
