Drivers for “Sony Vaio VGN FZ 240 E” in ‘Windows 7 64 bits”,
I’m wondering why it is quite complicated to get the drivers for the “sony Vaio VGN FZ 240 E” for “Windows 7 64 bits”. I checked the site:
but sounds not to include

Hi Jamal,
This is a European community and the model number you have originated in the USA - we have limited knowledge of support for non European models.
It would seem that this model was released with Windows Vista 32Bit OS and is not fully supported for 64Bit. In general terms, for European models, if there is no Win 7 driver listed then the Vista driver should work but this does not apply to upgrading from 32 to 64Bit.
For the chipset drivers you could try the manufacturers web site...
...but the camera driver is Sony specific and therefore the Vista 32Bit version may not work. SigmaTel no longer exist as a company so finding suitable drivers will prove difficult - Google may provide an answer.
Unless you have a specific need for 64Bit I suggest that you install the 32Bit version of Windows 7 which seems to be at least partially supported by Sony USA, or return to the original OS

I don’t know the Support policy in the USA but my guess is that out of warranty support is only available on a premium rate phone call. I suggest you start here...

I tried the file STDAUD-01487701-US.EXE (of the Vista) from the site below (you have provided) and it worked fine.
